Loved the movie. Loved the book. What a fantastic read. Life’s demands had me reading this at a much slower pace than usual, and when I wasn’t reading I kept thinking about the characters and what would happen next.
I enjoyed how the book provided a bit of backstory for each of the characters, something we didn’t get to see in the movie. The ending is a bit open ended and leaves it up to the reader to decide how it all wraps up.
There’s a reunion scene that the author keeps teasing the reader about. In the version I read, at the very end, he tells us we can log on to hmhbooks.com/princessbride. I got duped. Did you? On the off chance that there is an actual reunion chapter written by him and not fan fiction, do share!
