2026 Review:
Iāve been in somewhat of a reading slump and have been in need of a good friend to help rid me of my malaise. Enter Sedaris. Have a doctorās appointment? Take a Sedaris. Called in for jury duty selection? Take David. Have to renew your license at the DMV? Heās already buckled up and waiting in the passengerās seat.
Sedaris is guaranteed to cheer me up every single time. Thanks to Libby, I got to actually HEAR my old friend tell me some of his most hilarious and witty stories. I really needed this. It felt like receiving a tall drink of cool water after wandering aimlessly in the hot desert sun. Not many authors are cut out to narrate their own work. Thankfully, Sedaris is up to the task and knocks it out of the park
2013 Review:
I am not big on audio books but, after reading many GR reviews applauding Sedaris's style of narrating his own work, I had to give it a try. Glad I did - it was a real treat!Ā
I wished the Q & A at the conclusion of the reading was longer. I wanted to hear more about Rooster and what he's been up to. I hope Sedaris writes more about this colorful sibling.
