Apparently, Sir Cameron Needs to Die

Yeah, this is terrible.

The first 25% or so is the silly, gay himbo fantasy you were sold on the back of the book. Then it dawdles for a while and seemingly reaches its conclusion… then tacks on an extra 30% with an absolutely bizarre turn into sci-fi. Honestly one of the most baffling endings I’ve ever read.

Add to that the several introduced plot lines that fizzled into nothing, the lack of any development or added dimension of any character - most don’t even get backstories and the couple that do are a few measly lines that are never expanded upon - and the “romance” coming out of nowhere with zero explanation behind it. We are simply told they love each other, only one character even admits it, but all they have in common are proximity and occasional off-page erections.

This book was so very disappointing! A steady downward decline from start to finish.

No one writes a man down bad like Miss Tessa Bailey. Good Lord, I loved this book.

The tension was deliciously agonizing and felt so genuine. I read parts of this with an ache in my chest because the depth of feeling between the main characters really resonated and I swear I felt their pain.

I will be rereading this one soon, and often!
