Excellent overview of a moral panic in the US and the factors that contributed to it. There's a number of parallels to current events which make it even more interesting.

This was unexpected good, Albert Speer is an amazing writer and although it's hard not to be skeptical about a lot of things it does give you an amazing inside look at the third reich and the illusions that the Nazi high command told themselves.

Liu Cixin is at his best when he writes epic science-fiction and this just isn't that. The book is still full of interesting and engaging ideas that keep it interested from the beginning until the end, the biggest strike this book has against it is that the Dark Forest trilogy is just that good. Hard to fight those expectations.

Raymond is a pretty good and concise writer, his ideas are laid out very clearly in this book. I can recommended this to anyone with a SF background.

I did not expect that I would like this so much but it's very beautiful written and although it's depressing it gives such an interesting view in to how depression must feel that it's worth it to keep going.
