Super fun to see these two already complex and well-developed characters take on the lead roles, and to see Nava and Ro through their eyes. The book itself is solid - lots of action, lots of flirting, great dialogue, side characters new and old... just great. It can be a standalone. I think it probably works better after reading the demon hunter series, especially the short story about their first separate adventure.
