See allI do not understand why this book got such decent reviews. It drudged on an on and on.. so much talk about how creepy the building was but didn't say why it felt so creepy until the end. There was no bumps in the night or false ghost sightings or anything.. just not my favorite from Riley Sager.
I had to dnf it.. I could read a whole chapter and not tell you a single thing that happened. The writing was just too confusing. I know this is a classic but I couldn't make myself finish it.
I would rate this a five star book but the first third of the book was so hard to read. I felt like I was reading a complicated academic study. It felt like being thrown into a class midway through the semester and having no idea what was going on. But then it started moving along and once it did, I had no intentions of putting it down until I was finished. The story itself 10/10.. loved it.
