Wow, what a mess! Beautifully messy this one was!!
This book was awkwardly funny. Like a satire, an awkward one. I had moments where I wanted to laugh out loud for the antics of the characters and the story, but I didn't think those were appropriate to laugh to.
Heavy subjects were discussed here. Trauma, PTSD, self-harm, gore, pedophile, and other dark subjects. Though all of them got wrapped simply in one weird awkward storyline.
The illustrations were good. Fit with the grittiness of the story.
