The book cover already stated that this book is "a rather odd story" and indeed it was. The story, the characters, the background story, and everything about this book were rather odd or silly as my son said. This book was so silly my son laughed out loud the entire time of reading this book. He mostly laughed because the repetition of silly words and sentences used in this book. We (my son and I) think that this book was purely entertaining without any significant values which was actually fine because my son sometimes need this kind of book.
While the story was 100% entertaining, the illustrations were made by AI. The author openly disclaimered it in the beginning of the book. I usually fine-ish with author(s) using AI for their cover book(s) but for the whole illustrations, I against it. Hence, 3 stars.
Thank you to Benjamin Weiss and NetGalley for the ARC.
