I fell asleep listening to the last chapter twice. I would never  have finished it if I was reading a physical book.

Better than I thought it would be. I don't know how people consider this part of the slog. Might be my favorite book so far, since The Great Hunt.

Too much telling of what is happening and not enough showing. Also, kind of predictable.

As someone who just finished the ryiria revelations series, and loved it, I was expecting to love this. This book has such a slow start that it was almost boring. I liked the ending, but it makes me question continuing on to the next book.

The book started feeling a bit rapey.
Too many time jumps. There was instalove, but that disnt bother me until I realized I didn't like the two main characters.

This was a fun read though the characterization was not as good as her other books.

I'm guessing this was supposed to be a series or a longer book originally. There are POVs of a villain in the castle, and hints of who it could be, but it's never brought up or resolved by the end.
