Read in college, need to reread.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book.

Read all of Montgomery's books in the 1980's. Loved them.

Listened as an audiobook. I would have done better reading it ‘cause of all the names. That's just how my brain works. Otherwise, enjoyed it.

Could have been about 300 pgs shorter and would have been an enjoyable read. I got bogged down in specifics that didn't intrest me.

Slow reading, but good.

I don't know how I always end up reading his books. They're all good, slow reading, and often leave me wondering what I missed. There always seems to be just something out of reach that I can't understand.

I loved this. Was surprised. I had heard of it, but never really bothered to read it. Well written, would read more in the series.

Thought I'd enjoy this book much more than I did. Not sure why I didn't enjoy it. Felt more like a series of connected short stories than a cohesive novel.

I found it unbelievable that she didn't know the date or general date of her father's death. That ruined the entire tale. Early in I knew something with her dads death was vital, but couldn't believe she wouldn't remember about when he died. And I'm speaking from experience.

I listened to it, might have been better read.

Really enjoyed the voice of Lu, main character. We'll written to reflect a young girl in the late 60s/early 70s.

Went out and purchased a print copy because I enjoyed it so much. It's a philosophy book disguised as fantasy.

A compilation of many of his short stories or excerpts from his books, I had read many of them but still enjoyed.

Very basic, but still a good book. Anyone with an lgbt+ person in their life should read it.

Not what I expected, but still enjoyed it.

This was a reread for me, but still enjoyed it. That's why the 5-stars. If I can enjoy something and still laugh or be surprised by it, it should get a good review. :)

Feel like it should be titled “What is “ instead of “How to”. I'd probably rate it higher if I read instead of listened to it- there was a lot of info, but I kept getting lost in the cadence of the authors voice. That's my problem, not the book's.

Was just ok. Thought I'd enjoy it more than I did. Read it as an e-book so I'm sure some of the effects of the formatting style and images were lost on me.
