I liked the commentary, especially near the end. Thinking about what this book is trying to say about life and current culture makes me sad, yet optimistic.

It's very good, but not as much as Song of Achilles. The idea and concept of telling the 'life' of an immortal goddess is something very challenging to figure out, especially because parts of the book seem pointless, or the plot never has a real direction, just years happen. In someways this is good immersion and is interesting, but can be boring to no fault of anyone. I wish there were a few more hints to the ending but it was very good.
