It was tough for me to finish the book. Mainly because every single character in Red Rising is a horrible human being (a lot of times understandably so). For me it was just a lot less exciting and felt like it was dragging on, compared to the original trilogy. It’s obvious that this book was a sort of setup for future books but I don’t think that I will be reading those. Mainly because I don’t like who Darrow, Ephraim and Lyria are as pov characters. Iron Gold, more than the previous books just seemed to glorify violence and suffering which we have enough of in our current day and age.
