Unique story, well written and easy to read. I absolutely loved the characters and the plot was very consistent. I enjoyed that it felt like a romance without being formulaic or tropey. Highly recommend!

My favorite part about this series was the family dynamics and the character development and both elements were missing. I feel like this book talked about the characters having trauma but never actually dove into it so they could create a meaningful bond. 99% of my love for these books is Harvey, and we saw him like once.. disappointed to say the least.

Also, the bathtub scene?! I was in PHYSICAL PAIN.

The sister didn't need to be so blatantly shallow for the story to work. I really enjoyed the plot, and the relationship felt so realistic. I just could have done without hearing about Mandy's perfectly coiffed hair and meticulous makeup 700 times.

This series has my whole heart. I would say this is more grumpy/brat than grumpy/sunshine, but I really enjoyed Rae pushing Merikh out of his comfort zone. I am so interested to see Jabez' character arc and how the twins dynamic will be since they can't share a Bride but are very undeveloped with their humanity. I will read every book in this series, guaranteed.

I really enjoyed the first and second but the third is like I'm reading the second again? Too formulaic. Needed her to actually make some headway with Nox. Just bored and I'm trying not to force myself to finish things I'm not enjoying.

ETA: Finished 2 months later. Actually wasn't that bad and I was clearly just burnt out of fantasy romance

I've read this book 3 times. It is such a comfort book for me and always helps me get out of a slump. Orpheus is such a cinnamon roll and just wants to be loved and Reia can see him for who he is on the inside. The best dynamic in my opinion. Love you Opal and thank you for writing these books!
