This is my least favorite Frank Peretti book that I have listened to. I absolutely loved "This Present Darkness", but I just wasn't feeling this one in the same way.

Narrated by the author. An interesting and informative non-fiction book about The New Thought Movement. It covers religion, self-help, and culture. Mentions a number of people that were influential in the movement that I plan to look up and find out more about.

Another good book by [a:Eugenie Laverne Mitchell 7339142 Eugenie Laverne Mitchell https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1617420438p2/7339142.jpg] This is the 4th book I have read by her and I have enjoyed them all.

This is a worthwhile book that gives us some things to think about in this age of cancel culture we are living in. I recommend it.

You get an insight into the devil's strategy in this thought-provoking, fictional story that's similar to [b:The Screwtape Letters 8130077 The Screwtape Letters C.S. Lewis https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1476379778l/8130077.SY75.jpg 2920952].

The story of the epic failures of two of the worst leaders in America. Excellent!

This short book was recommended on a podcast I listened to. It was more violent than what I usually read, but I guess that should be expected considering it's set in North Korea. Still, I really didn't enjoy it much.

I enjoyed this audiobook which is narrated by the author. It was a pleasant surprise to get to hear about Southern Gospel singer Karen Peck. I didn't know when I started this book that the author and Karen Peck are best friends. And the rest of the book was nice too.

I enjoyed this book for the most part, but I am not a fan of Joel Osteen, so I did not enjoy his part of the book. I also disagree with the new-age teachings in the book by Suzette Faith-Foster. And I thought it was odd that Brian Wilson was included in this book but he did not even mention “I Hope You Dance”, which is supposed to be the song this book is about. But I still enjoyed reading about the song and how it's touched so many people's lives.

There are some books I just go crazy with highlights. This is one of those books. There is so much good information here!

There are a few ‘F' bombs here or I would have rated it higher.

Important and very informative! I highlighted so much.

Good. I just thought it needed more loose ends tied up at the end.

Wonderful! Especially the part when an innocent human life was saved by something posted on social media.

Very good. I highlighted so much in this book. I particularly liked that the author went over part of the racist history of the Democrat party and that he pointed out that the late Democrat Senator Robert Byrd was a grand cyclops in the KKK (and was also a recruiter for the KKK too). He also pointed out that Byrd filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act. This is so often overlooked and downplayed. Joe Biden has called Byrd a ‘mentor'. Byrd was also one of Hillary Clinton's mentors, yet she was never accused of being a racist during the 2016 campaign. And Byrd was leader of the Senate for decades and the Democrats had no problem with it. I wish someone would write an entire book on Byrd and the KKK. It needs to be talked about, especially since Democrats are always slandering others as racists. We would never have heard the end of it if Byrd had been a Republican. The author also points out the results Donald Trump has delivered for the black community since he's been in office, things Obama never did. Overall a very good book.

Disappointing. There was a joke in this book that I absolutely don't think should have been included in a Christian book. Then there was foul language that had some of the letters blocked out but you could still tell what the words were. I also thought that didn't belong in a Christian book. And the words “Follow your heart” were also in this book more than once and sometimes said by Christian characters. I am so sick of the message “Follow your heart” in so many books, movies, TV shows, and music these days. It's horrible advice and not biblical. So I also thought that didn't belong in a Christian book. I'll have to decide on whether to give the second book a chance and hope it gets better or not.

I listened to the audio version. I don't know if I missed out on a lot or not. This audio is an abridged version.

I'm not going to rate this book. This book was interesting when it was just about music and sounds. But then it started promoting shamanism & new age practices.

Merged review:

This audiobook is read by the author. She made some very good points. You can go to the author's page to read some quotes from this book. I added a bunch of them.

I have always loathed this atheistic/communist song. The lyrics are truly awful. I hope someone writes a book that picks the lyrics of this song apart someday and exposes the song for what it really is someday. That's what I was looking for when I found this book online.

This book has a little foul language in it that is used only when quoting the manipulators. Otherwise, this is an excellent book. Important and informative.

This book had just a little foul language in it. No ‘F' bombs though. Good story.

Important book that I would especially recommend to Christians. I highlighted so much of it.
