Thank you to the author L.H. Blake for an E-ARC copy of this book. This was a much-anticipated book after reading A Song of Sin and Salvation and it did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this slow-burn romance set in the 80s. Dave & Izzy's romance was full of fluff, banter, heartache, and sweet moments. Both characters had their dreams & ambitions outside of the relationship which I admired. L.H. Blake's writing wonderfully weaves moments of romance & heavy topics. I highly recommend both books in this series & look forward to more books by this author & hopefully this series.
DNF at pg 246. Half way through & noting has happened. Not a fan of characters. Writing style was good.
DNF at page 100. Writing is pretentious & doesn't actually convey anything. Characters are dull. Trying to be Six of Crows but failing.
DNF pg 56. I was enjoying it until the main character started talking Star Wars/Marvel/musical pop culture references. Just not into it
DNF @ page 117. I was not enjoying the audiobook version of this or the story. It felt like a 2 star so stopped while I was ahead.
