Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. This graphic novel is fast-paced and very well illustrated. Such a wonderful blend of sci-fi and fantasy with character development I didn’t expect from a graphic novel. Although I got confused by the chronological plot (which seems to happen when time travel is involved), the story is interesting and very entertaining. Would recommend!

I loved the story and the variety of character development throughout the book. Quite easily one of my favorite endings in a book. I immediately had to start reading the third book!

The ending was so bad, the last 70 pages turned a 4 star book into a 1.5 star book.

I loved this book. An amazing sequel to the Moon of the Crusted Snow. It felt very similar to The Road by Cormac McCarthy but from the perspective of the Anishinaabe people.

Loved the book! It's set in a very creative world with interesting and complex characters, yet Pierce Brown does a wonderful job keeping the story simple and exciting! Would recommend!

In-depth and well-researched as always from Jason Schreier, but sometimes it felt like he was constantly going down rabbit holes of specific game developers before jumping back to the original game studio. It was a good book with some interesting stories, but I’d still prefer Blood, Sweat, and Pixels.

Murderbot murder mystery! What more could you want?

DNF. As much as I enjoyed the book-within-a-book in Magpie Murders, it didn’t do much for me here. I didn’t care for Susan Ryeland as the protagonist and didn’t feel the normally intrigue and curiosity that I normally feel from reading murder mysteries. Not a terrible book, just a disappointment.

My favorite entry in the series. The story does a wonderful job pulling from all previous entries and creates the best adventure for Murderbot yet!

The world building was amazing and the introduction was fantastic, but I noticed that I had begun to despise the dialogue and had no connection to any of the characters. As interested as I was in seeing where the story went, I no longer wanted to continue reading the book.

This series keeps getting crazier and crazier… and I’m no longer sure if that’s a good thing. The plot felt convoluted and it was often hard to follow everything that was happening simultaneously. That being said, the characters are always wonderful and Matt Dinniman blends the action and humor extremely well.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. The ancient history and connections to other historic countries was very interesting, but I lost interest once the story got closer to present day.

Additionally, I didn’t think any of those sections discussing the author’s life on Iceland or the boat added anything to this book.

This book is filled to the brim with interesting stories on how people learned about how the brain worked. Each section of the book follows the same formula, which unfortunately gets stale by the end of the book.

Such a cool, interesting perspective on an apocalyptic tale. A short, fun read!

This book is action packed, had a great pace, and felt like something was always happening. Even though this is book 5, the humor continues to work.

Solid follow-up to the first book in the series. Continues doing everything the first book excelled at.

LOVED this book. As an avid gamer, this was right up my alley. It’s such a good blend of action and humor, I was hooked immediately. The characters are weird and wild in the best way. Special shout out to the audiobook, Jeff Hays is unbelievably talented.

I truly loved learning about the history behind the maps, but constantly had the urge to skip passed any sections that talked about Smiley. I found Smiley incredibly unlikable and had no sympathy for the crimes he committed.
