So the reason it was a 3.5 instead of a 4 or a 5 is because it seemed to drag on and quite a bit insta lovie (even for me) I think once u get past all the smut all it seems to be is a public/printed fanfiction
Let me explain myself before you start throwing fruit at me. I loved the story near the end and the hockey game. I half expected an ex to be the third act break up but it was a misunderstanding or a miscommunication trope
Its almost like more than 70% through the book the author just remembered about Hockey Pride Night and as an irl hockey queer girlie it was kind of uncomfortable.
I get that was the point, but I was hoping at somepoint the author would bring up that point and thank the queens she did because i was starting to get a big annoyed.
That being said though; once they mentioned that I was ok with it again. There were things that still gave me the ick, like they mentioned barns and noble and a starbucks more than once. I don't know if the author got permission for that or if it was a editors choice to keep it in, but yeah that gave me the ick
