A bit of a slow start with lots of character building - picks up toward the end. Good mystery that's tricky to work out before the reveal.

Nice twist - quite depressing.

I love that everything was unreliable - can you trust the main POV, are they really on the moon, are there alone or i someone lurking in the corridors.
And I couldn't figure out who did it until the very end.

This is a weird story. I read the first half and was bored and confused as there was no plot and nothing really happened. But then things started to happen, new characters were introduced and a plot started to take shape. Loved the second half.

I liked the concept of the story but I was bored throughout most of it and ended up speed reading through the last 200 pages. There is way too many details and the story unfolds super slow - and worst of all the ending was not surprising.

Silly and full of cliches. I think the authors must have been giggling throughout writing this book. If you don't take your romances too serious and have missed ‘choose your own adventure' since your childhood - this might be for you.

Always nice when the author keeps you guessing throughout the story.

I enjoyed the book and will pick up the next in the series. The story and writing style reminded me of works by [a:Nora Roberts 625 Nora Roberts https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1505847251p2/625.jpg], so if you like her you will likely enjoy A Discovery of Witches.

This is a book without a “real” plot. Nothing much happens throughout the book. It is the description of the characters that drives the story forward. I adore Kawakami's writing style and was entertained from start to finish.

This is a strange tale of a literature society. I was fascinated and at times disgusted but it kept me reading until the very last little twist. Children see the world so much different than adults.

I loved this book. Maybe because I can recognize myself and many of my own musings in the author's.
I think all women should, if not read the book, then at least ponder their own life and role. What do you want vs what everyone else wants and expect from you - and not bow to society's pressure.

This is the perfect book to read if you want to understand everything that is wrong with the world today.
But setting all that is wrong with society back then aside the book is well written for its time. I was mostly entertained despite me rolling my eyes and sighing throughout the book.

I adore Backman's writing style. Even when the book is sad there is humour written into the narrative. He makes you laugh and cry at the same time.

First book I've read from Charles L. Grant. I was entertained throughout the book. It was spooky and I had a few flashes to Pines by Blake Crouch. I felt the ending was a bit rushed and could have used another chapter or two.

I think any dog person will love this book and I think any pet-owner will enjoy it.
The book made me laugh, smile and cry. It brought back many childhood memories of my own dog that was with me growing up and who I still miss.

One of the saddest books I've read in a long time. It is a book full of saddness, loss, despair, death and just a drop of hope.

Another great book from Shane Kuhn. Again they gave one of his books a different title in Europe. This time Shoot the Messenger.
This time around I was expecting the way Kuhn writes so I didn't think it was as funny as the first one. But I was still completely sucked into the story and needed to know what happened next. Sue was a great addition to the book. Read it. I heard a movie might be on the way based on the first one - can't wait for it and can't wait to see what John Lago does next.

It's worse than bad

Had me crying from the start. The main character frustrated and annoyed me but I couldn't help liking her at the end. Worth a read.

Read it in the Popsugar challenge - it is a horrible book. Where was the editor? Did she not work that year? 99% of the book should have been edited out, changed and re-written. Poor writing and terrible editing. Does not deserve 1 star.

The morale is a bit thick sometimes - even for its time. But I still love the universe.
