I have read and reread this book. Every time I take away something a little different. It hasn't received the “popularity” that many other excellent books have, but I think that's what makes this such a gem. This book takes me to a whole other world. It is raw and harsh. If I had to pick only one book from my bookshelf to save from a fire, it would be this book.

What an emotional rollercoaster of a book. I think this should be added to high school reading lists. It gives an insightful look into what can lead a person to suicide and the thought process it takes to get there.

It's not the style of book I usually read, but was very well done. I would highly recommend it. I'm curious to see how they turn this into a movie.

I didn't love this book nearly as much as I loved Mythago Wood. Mythago wood is tied as my favorite book and I was excited to read more of that world. I didn't care for the main character and I think that's where this book fell a little flat for me. I still look forward to reading the other books in the Mythago world.

I'd most accurately give this a 4.5. It took me a little while to get drawn into this book but once I was I loved it. I really loved the characters and the other kingdom. Months later I still miss the world this book created. I'd love to go back and read this book again.

A must read. What got me most was knowing this was a TRUE story. Read this.

Read this for a speech class. The book wasn't my favorite, but it was good. I knocked it a star because I thought it tacky the author added herself to the story using her own name.
