This book had me so fooled. Tiffany D. Jackson, you are a literary genius! I was over here rooting for the FMC Mary like she was my cousin. I closed that book and literally sat there like… WHAT THE HECK did I just read???
Now, out of all the Tiffany D. Jackson books I’ve read, this one sits a little lower on my list, not because it isn’t good, but because I love some of her other stories more.
Allegedly follows Mary, a 16-year-old girl who was convicted of killing a baby… allegedly. The story puts you through her whole nightmare. Going to jail, group homes, and the constant bullying. You can’t help but want her to catch a break.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great book and the plot is brilliant. Just be prepared to have your mind messed with. If you love a thriller with a wild plot twist, go ahead and pick this one up.
