I tried so hard to finish this and just could not do it.

There's the bones of a good story about philosophy, mental health, and human relationships in here but forcing the mermaid smut in really ruins both the smut and the deeper story.

The prose is some of the worst i ever read. I want to love when an author reads their own audio book but the narration is not it either

Its ok. I didnt find it particularly scary for the most part, and it gets a little lost in the sauce in the turns and reveals at the end

RIn is one of the most unbearable protagonists ever, truly never learns anything. She'd probably be proud i only finished these books out of hate.

Also, major plot holes and inconsistancies.
