8.8/10 solid read. Really great ending. All the characters are pretty great but sometimes Ove was an eye roll because while I know these people exists. The dialogue was a bit too cheesy at times

I found the way Bradbury writes in this book to be truly beautiful and at times. I just loved the vividness of his descriptions. Unfortunately at times. The narrative and story get lost in the mix and it comes across confusing and clunky at times. But I do feel like I was transported to this whimsical/haunting time. I just wish the structure was a bit better and I didn't struggle to understand what was happening at times in the actual story.

5/10 This is one of those instances where the premise and set up are so good but the story is the weakest point. Darcy Coates has a talent for setting up very suspenseful scenes and creating a pretty entertaining world. But she tends to struggle with character development, and that's the biggest fault of this book. I wants to know more about these characters. And I wanted to feel more for them in their struggles.

Also. I found the ending a tad underwhelming but that could be just a personal issue on what I wanted with its set up. Theirs some loose ends that could've done better with extra chapters.

9.0/10. A really incredible read. I love how this world is set up and rules it brings. The characters are very well done and even the secondary characters have great set ups and pay offs.

8/10. A very entertaining and fun read. It did take me awhile to understand what was going on and it is a bet if a sense read with how the author writes. I'll be returning to this during Halloween for a reread because I can see it growing on me.

95 out if 100.

Quick, engaging and oddly poetic in the most macabre ways. I love how tightly written this is but gives you enough more and story it's worth revisiting. I really enjoyed Clive's writing style overall. Read in one sitting too.

90 out of 100. Fascinating read. While long, never slows down. Extremely well done.

9/10 fantastic. While I don't necessarily say it's a perfect book. The promise of the 3rd book and what could happen is making this a fantastic read.

8/10
Loved it. Enjoyed the characters, the world and how everything connects. I will say it's a bit of build up book, so not a whole lot happens in terms of plot, but more than makes up for in world building, characters and great writing

8/10
Great read. I have not dabbled much in the fantasy like this. But it was so much fun. I do wish we got a bit more character dialogue between the companions. At moments I wish I cared more about the characters but they felt a bit wooden outside of our lead protagonist. Who is a joy to read and listen to. But it makes the other characters kinda bland. What I do love is the world building and the mythos of this world. It's so good. And I cannot wait to jump back into this world.

4.5 stars. Loved it. Wanted more of this world. But loved the tightness of the narrative and the pacing.

8/10 Loved it. Great conclusions and building the world. More like an extended epilogue for Dune. Onto Children of dune

7 out of 10. Quick read. Very fun and had some creepy moments

Fast paced. Loved the universe. I wish their was more Lovecraftian but didn't take away from the experience. I hope we see more of this universe.

4.5 Great novel about an important and almost forgotten movement that happened. A bit long and the author does rehash a lot of information but that could because I work in a Radiation field but they do a great job of describing it.

Fantastic dystopian novel in a time where they seem to be everywhere. Excellent storytelling, characters and overall plot with its various twist and turns. Cannot wait to read the next book!

Borrowed this from reviewer reynje
“Perks seems to offer its devoted fans a sense of connection, of understanding, of honesty about things left unspoken, or whispered behind hands and closed doors. This book speaks to the sense of alienation that many teens experience, the questions of who they are and where they belong. Charlie has become a response to – and I mean no disrespect by this, as I was/am a voice in this – a collective, plaintive cry of “nobody understands me”.”

Fantastic read. One of the best books I've read in 2013 and a long time. Definitely pick this book up if you love Stephen king and mystery novels

This book lives up to it predecessor and exceeded all my expectations. Just great story telling and unique twists! Cannot wait for the final book.

Such a powerful book and an amazing story. Very emotional and has a lot of deep thought in it as well. John Green has out done himself again. I love this book!

An incredible novel that really pulls you into the story and does not let go til the very last page. I had a very hard time letting the book down and had to keep reading to see what would happen next. The characters were terrific and each developed a different way. This is a distopia book that is definitely worth reading.

This was a book of multiple feelings. I loved the idea and story a lot but i feel the execution could have been a little better. I love the world that she creates in this book and the characters as well.

The only thing that bothered me the most was the blocky dialogue that she used and how it seemed she would skip over some parts and didn't give enough details to help the reader understand the world completely. I also felt that Zane annoyed me way to much in some parts.

Another example of this would be like when they could be in the Garden or Hospital and next thing you know they could be somewhere else in the next paragraph. Maybe it was just me but I feel like if it was a longer book it could have been more well done.

With that all aside though, i really did enjoy this read. It wasn't the best book of this year for me but it was a book that I did really like. I'll be looking for a sequel definitely to see how the story develope's and see if more of the questions we have get answered.

I have only read a couple of mystery books but this one is just amazing and very well done. I loved every plot twist and turn. The characters all felt real and each one had a different personality and made the story feel more real. My favorite character of course had to be the hangman himself, just a bad-ass guy overall.
My opinion is if you like historical books and mystery, then this is the perfect book for you! The pacing is very well done as it starts out fast then when it gets into the main plot slows down to give you excellent detail throughout the story.

Defiantly recommend this to anyone!

Wow, What a great and emotionally driven novel. At first glance I did not intend on reading it because i didn't know what to expect or much about what was going to happen. What I found as i finished it was a novel that will make you laugh on one page and get you chocked up on the next.

The one thing i really loved in this whole book is that it is very thought provoking and I like the idea of the “great perhaps”. The story moves along smoothly building up to its height until the After part. Which was the best part of the novel in itself. It is a novel worth reading at least once and their will be at least one thing in it that will change your perspective on something or just move you completely.

As pudge did, I fell in love with Alaska's character as well, it was a gripping story of friendship, love and loss.I loved the emotion that Green can give you in his characters,I ended up loving all of them and felt like i was there with them trying to figure everything out.

This is my first John green novel and I can expect more to come.

Paper towns is just an amazing book. Great characters, with believable sidekicks and world. His writing style is so refreshing and I love his use of punctuations in this book as well. The comic relief in the book was absolutely amazing as well and made me laugh so much. Their was also a lot of thinking and thought provoking ideas through out the book like the example of what a paper town is and paper people. Green has a real talent here.

I felt very satisfied with the ending and was much better than I was expecting to be. It had me guessing all the way til the last part. I was worried the middle was going to drag but found it fun and enjoyable all the way through. Definitely give this book a try! Its a one sitting book and will change you!
