See allIt's like a slightly elevated Wattpad story, entertaining enough for a casual read, but don't expect to be blown away by it, I just wish it was a little more trimmed down
This book is quick to suck you in and keep you glued, I like how the short chapters about other characters and their run-ins with different SCP's tie in to the larger potline. The noosphere antimemetic beings were both scary and facinating.
The most overrated book I read this year, I don't get the hype this book has amongst some people, I thought that something interesting would happen considering the setting with the infinite hallways, but it was just a bunch of monologues by a guy who's delusional and thinks the house is providing for him when he's just making it up, I guess the metaphor was about mankind and the environment we exist in and the value of hope/optimism or whatever, I almost DNF'd it when I realized literally nothing was gonna happen in any of those hallways and that the statues amounted to nothing. It's only good points are that it's kinda short and the prose is not bad.
