I don't know what your issue is and i get that if you're by yourself you can't hurt anyone. But the world isn't simple enough for you to survive all on your or awn. And besides you're not that strong. Am I right?

Short but feels rushed at times

So much ado about nothing. Usually the slow burn works because you don't know what is coming or you are enjoying the journey. This book takes the slow burn approach too far and goes into too much details that add nothing to the overall story. Add to that the tendency of the Quiet to intervene in their mysterious ways and for things to resolve itself and you have this book.

I loved Crispin struggles much more than Hadrian's drama. Surprisingly less verbose with better flow.

It is a fun read and I would recommend as a YA book. The story feels a bit incoherent at times jumping all over the place. I don’t care much for the spells descriptions but maybe that is just me.
