the book was a fun read, but sometimes a bit on the nose

it was too pleasing too read. Little plot and little build up. Felt quite boring to read, mostly just waiting for the predictable happy ending to occur

After reading Heart the lover, I was intrigued in hearing more about the middle of it all. The book was an easy read, containing big emotions. I think it dragged my emotions down alongside with it, which is good, but it didn't have the same emotional impact as Heart the Lover
