Explores coming if age and short stories through hair. Somebetter than others but I enjoyed reading this.

My favorite part of this book was when a man was talking about "how his of changes her hair so often feels like a new girl everytime-" a blood sucking mosquito flys onto her arm and she smacks it dead as the man finishes with "i love black women" It was a fantastic set up - you want to smack him too.
