What a beautiful book! I found the first part a little slow to get through and considered giving up. At times I was quite frustrated at Esme stealing words. But I loved seeing her character development. I absolutely adored the characters and fell in love with them. The last 20% of the book was so sad and had me crying. I did appreciate how quickly the book moved past the death of the characters and didn't linger on the details, it would have been too much to bare.

Another great read by Jane Harper. This was the second Aaron Falk book I've read (accidentally read book 3 first) I loved how fast paced it was and managed to read this in 2 days.
Loved the twist at the end, I almost picked up on it but dismissed my suspicion initially.

I really enjoyed this book. I've not read any of Jane Harper's books before, but I really enjoyed her writing style. The twist at the end was not what I expected, and I even had a little cry. I will be reading more of her books

Such a heartbreaking book. It was a little slow to begin with but had a great twist at the end

I found this book more emotional than the first book and really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the history of this sister

This was the first book I read after not reading for at least 20 years. It was pretty good, I found it easy enough to read and I mostly enjoyed it

It just didn't capture me. I might go back to it at some point. I wasn't really keen on reading about privillaged mums

I'm finding it hard to get into this book.
I'm hoping to come back to it at some point

The book just didn't captivate me and make me want to keep reading. It just wasn't for me
