The Second Sex

Wrote a review for

Simone was a formidable intellect. This book is a gift. It stands as both a foundational text for applied existentialism as well as modern feminism. Its value is increasing with the rise of antifeminist reactionary movements the world over. When the book outlines the way in which prior waves of anti-feminist conspiracy theorists would weave their narratives it is a harrowing juxtaposition against the growing "manosphere" of the current age. Well worth the time it takes to read the book.

Valis

Valisby

VALIS is a book that sits on the mythological side of fiction. It is the layman's introduction to Phillip K Dick's exegesis which was 6,000 pages. Instead of reading that he gave us this weird unraveling of both his own life and the greater gnostic philosophies he believed in for us to digest. Everything in the book is based on Dick's lived experience if you take the man at his words. Well worth reading. I have a longer review linked below.
