first of all, I didn't know this was a real story.. I thought this was fiction until I picked it up. It being a real story somehow makes it worse because the person we follow in the story, aka the author, is very.. I can't explain but girl wtf
this book makes me want to travel, not far but still travel. I'll catch a bus to Sydney or something
I would've liked this better if I was 40 and VERY bored.
Some stuff in this story sounds fake. There's no way that she met that many people who said such inspirational quotes to her like they were a random npc in a game.
It's not realistic.
I want a REAL travel story. My REAL travel story is that I went to Queensland when I was 9 and nearly got punched by a old man for no reason. That's realistic. What's not realistic is that this woman met people who were Jesus resurrected. Weird.
found this in my garage (along with all the other ones in the series) and yeah this one has always been the worst out of them all. The Egyptology one >>> a banger
so this is my 2nd? 3rd time reading this as I read it when I was bored when I was young but I didn't really read it back then... I just looked at the cool stuff in it and played with the extras in the book lol
anyways with this knowledge im off to kill Edward Cullen
Loved leos story line in this but the others were quite boring. Percy and Annabeths got a big repetitive but still cool
Spoilers ahead?? I think?? not sure if they count as spoilers
⚠️
No character deaths? Well no important character deaths. No one has died in this series which makes me less attached. All good series have a death that rips you apart. At this point at least 5 characters have to die in the final book to make up for everyone surviving the whole series
Ehh.. didn't really like it because of the writing but everyone says her other books are a million times better so I can't wait to read more from this author!
My sister is aboriginal and blak, so I was raised seeing how she was treated just because of her race and culture, so terrible.
I started reading this after I got my first dose so I couldn't really focus, I read the rest today but the day after the first dose... absolutely horrible. I feel like I'm dying. So I have to give this book another chance because I feel like my mind wasn't focused when I read this so I'll definitely come back to this book another time !!
Tips to writers out there: don't name an enemy “the rock”... I didn't imagine a demon entity thing, I imagined Dwayne the rock Johnson. very weird but made the story a bit better for me imo
went into this thinking it was one thing but it surprised me when it was not what I thought.... but I didn't like what the story was about. I didn't like the plot.
The characters made up for everything!! Val is the prettiest fictional character ever and just ughhh I wish she was real
Bats can't be trusted EVER. First they infect Cujo which leads him to kill others and now 2020 rolls around.... the rest is history.
Next time I go outside I will be shaking trees so bats don't get a good days sleep ever again. All in the name of justice for Cujo and the world.
anyways Cujo is a fictional dog but I just hope he knows that he's forever a good boy and that it wasn't his fault :((
the scariest thing in the world: teenagers.
this reminds me of my school days, just teens being awful to each other and popular boys getting away with stuff they shouldn't be.
all the characters in this book deserved a round house kick to the head (well not all but cant be bothered to name who)
loved the ending!!
2.5
Charlotte Bronte is one of my favourite authors but this kinda...
I'll re-read in the future since my mind was kinda absent when reading this !
also the audiobook was hilarious. heads up to audiobook casters, don't get non-french people to speak English in a French accent wtf it made me cry laughing
“hewwo Lucy, i wove you uwu” it sounded like that
ive read 500+ books but this is unlike anything ive ever read before. I read this because I didn't think I would like it (because I HATE books set in cars or road trips) and I just wanted it to get off my TBR but oh wow.. didn't know I would end up loving it like I do.
Its such a small book but the characters were so well built that it felt like ive known them forever.
I loved everything.
Its not 5 stars because it didn't give me that feel and I felt like the ending was a bit rushed, would've loved if the book was longer too!
cant wait to read more from this author!
