See allGreat information and description of the types of writings and how to read them effectively. It was enlightening to hear that some books are not worth a full dissected reading. How to determine this is where the responsibility of the reader comes into play. The strategies outlined for synoptical are practical and thoroughly explained. It is well explained that the reader should not critique the character or setting choices of a fiction book, but they can critique how they are used. Worth a hard copy on the shelf to reference.
This book is a great introduction to Adler. It presents the ideas for the reader in the form of dialogue between a young person and a philosopher. The dialogue is at times simple but philosophy doesn’t have to be complex.
After reading some of the sub 3-star reviews they seem to be referencing their understanding of the ideas than the book’s presentation of them.
