I absolutely loved how all the characters were intertwined and unique. I felt like it went a little longer than it should have because I lost interest a few times. This book was a like not a love. I’ve heard many good things about Fredrik Backman and still want to try some of his others!

WOAH. This was my first thought when I finished this book. It was definitely a roller coaster, but it had MANY aspects that I loved. First, a dog, nuff said. BIG mental health theme and really just gets the reality of the struggle. So many times I felt power through the pages because it lets me know I am not alone! I fell in love with everyone. Even the ones we are meant to hate...which brings me to one of my favorite parts of this book. The hit on numerous global issues including abortion, religion, sex trafficking, and so much more. The impact the live art explained in this book had on me will reside for many years to come. It really made me look inside myself and say what is right or wrong? I was in a book rut but this book has motivated me. I am my own storyteller and I am so glad this book made its way into my life ♥️

This is the second book I've read from this author and I am just not a fan. I think I set myself up thinking this was going to be a murder mystery, but it wasn't.

Perfect for a young adult! When I found out who was guilty I was mad at myself for not realizing! The book kept me on my toes for sure!

This was a good palette cleanser to read between larger books. There is a small twist at the end that I thought was a good route to go, but i had a hard time being motivated to read.

What I pulled from this book is Empowerment. I loved that the big storyline and individual journeys played so well together. The variety of characters were easy to follow and I felt like I actually lived with all of them. Great story of witchcraft origins and the female fight for rights!

Megan Miranda is always a favorite! I love that the book kept me engaged throughout the entire story, then finished with such a beautiful bow tie. I can't say it was a NEVER SAW THAT COMING type of ending, referring to the guilty person reveal, but I was left with wrong guesses most of the time on other side drama

At first I was a little confused with the time jumps, but then I was glad for them. An amazing story that actually put some things into perspective for me. A different take on the normal mobster genre. Less focus on the big guys and more on the ones who do the leg work.

The book was good, minus all the extra characters. I love TJR's writing, but the story was a little all over the place. I think the hype gave me higher expectations. Glad I read it, but wouldn't classify as chart topper.

Still love the characters and excited to watch them grow, but I felt the sex scenes were overdone. Can't say they weren't deliciously spicy, but there were just too many compared to the other books. Sort of like culture shock for me.

I thought the book had a lot of pointless parts and could have been better if some were cut out. I had to finish the book since I had read the others and wanted to know the end, but the book didn't keep me interested until the last quarter. Also, the ending broke my heart and I wish there could have been a happy ending, but I know that's not always real! Other than those points the book was okay. If the first book had been like this one I probably would not have finished it!

WOW. This is the first book, that I have read this year, I feel deserved 5 full stars. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. This book holds so much that many people need to see. Such an amazing read! The writing style was mind altering too. I will be in a book haze for a while after this one, where I need time to recover and check myself! Can't wait for the next one from this ZDH!
