Loved this book! I've been following Taylor for years on IG for god knows how long maybe over 5 years or so.
It turns out Taylor and I have some things in common other than our first name and the love of traveling. This book felt like a conversation from a friend telling stories and was an easy read. Her stories were thought-provoking and relatable.

Informative and love John's personal stories. Quick read but worth it for my first “Essay” book.
Audience:GASPS “This is the first Essay book you read?!”
Me: “yes...and I need to read more.”
My favorite parts or “chapters” were
-Scratch ‘n' sniff stickers
-Notes App
-Mountain Goats
-The world's largest ball of paint
-New Partner
-Three Farmers on their way to a Dance

2-stars only for the huge hype and awards this book got.
Being generous but it was so sloooowww. #snailbook. I read the reviews and I wasn't the only one who experienced the slowness this book has.

How I felt^^
I skimmed through the last 50 pages for so. The book writing and format weren't for me.
I need a break from e-books from the library and actually read my tbr physical books sitting on my desk. Onto the next book! :D

True story...I read this book months before the film came out. Later, on the film's release day on Christmas Day in 2008, I saw the film with family and bawled my eyes out. TWO DAYS LATER...TWO DAYS LATER. My family's dog died. He was 12 which was understandable but the timing was atrocious. His name was Rocky and was a gorgeous Brittle-colored Greyhound.
I never saw the film or read the book ever since. One time, I even begged my high school teachers to leave the room while they were watching the film. They allowed me to luckily. The book/film is cursed to me hahaha
