I got the wrong impression from the title of this book. I thought it would be a biography about a "man" but it was more about the author's experience with a particular book, a bit about a "man," and a bit about people and their book obsessions. Because I came in with a particular mindset, I wasn't really pulled in by the author's experiences and ended up returning the book unfinished.
