It's been quite awhile since I'd read the first book in the series and I was feeling a bit lost becuase this book takes up a short while after the first book ends and assumes you remember the details. I'd forgotten all the intrigue from the first book and this book has much more political intrigue to it (which I hate) so I stopped reading and won't read any more in the series.
