Very motivational but I couldn't seem to translate anything to actionable items, or guidance on how to prepare that I wasn't already doing.

Very long and Very detailed! Just when you think the author's provided all there is to know, there's another 5 chapters. Still, worth reading as much as you can handle.

This was one of the very first ‘audiobooks' I ever listened to.
My ancestors made a stop over in the Volga River region before immigrating to the US and I always wondered what took them there. I had a jolt of electricity when I suddenly got my answer.

Came across this book in college or post college and really loved its broad range of subjects and the short synopsis for each recommendation. I read it front-to-back, transferring those that intrigued me to an Excel spreadsheet that I still refer to today.

I didn't find this as good as the first two books in the series.

Probably not so uncommon today but when I first read this, the story of life in an all female society, for the one genetically created male, was fascinating.

I'd like to reread this to see if my thoughts on the author's style of writing and the plot would be different.
