This book is exactly why I drop everything when Freida releases something new. I went in expecting a fast, twisty thriller—and still wasn’t prepared for how completely it would pull me in.
The pacing is relentless in the best way, with short chapters that make it impossible to “just read one more.” Every time I thought I had it figured out, the script is flipped and made me question everything again. The tension builds so naturally that by the final stretch, I was fully locked in and slightly suspicious of everyone.
What really stood out is how addictive and cleverly constructed the story is—it’s the kind of book you fly through, then immediately want to talk about (without spoiling anything, of course).
If you love psychological thrillers with jaw-dropping twists and characters you’re never quite sure you can trust, this one absolutely delivers.
This book really snuck up on me. It starts off soft, but quickly turns into something much deeper and more emotional than I expected.
I loved how real everything felt—the characters were messy and human, especially the daughter. She reminded me so much of teenage girls today, and that made the family dynamics hit even harder.
The pacing slowed a little in places, but the emotional payoff was worth it. This one definitely lingered with me after I finished.
If you like character-driven stories with heart and a little emotional weight, I’d recommend it.
This book absolutely wrecked me in the best way. This story had everything I love—heart, humor, and characters that feel so real you forget they’re fictional. The emotional depth hit hard, but it never felt heavy for the sake of it—just honest, raw, and beautifully written.
I was completely invested from the first page, and the connection between the characters felt genuine and unforgettable. Abby Jimenez has such a gift for balancing tough, real-life themes with moments that make you smile (and sometimes laugh out loud).
This is one of those books that lingers long after you finish it—the kind you wish you could read again for the first time. Truly unforgettable. 💔✨
This book is as raw and real as it gets. Christina Applegate opens up in a way that feels deeply personal, like you’re sitting across from her hearing her story firsthand. There’s honesty here that’s both heartbreaking and empowering—she doesn’t sugarcoat anything, and that’s what makes it so impactful.
Her vulnerability, strength, and resilience shine through every chapter, giving you a new level of respect for everything she’s endured. It’s emotional without feeling heavy, inspiring without trying too hard, and completely unforgettable.
This isn’t just a celebrity memoir—it’s a story about survival, growth, and finding light in the darkest moments. Truly powerful and absolutely worth the read. I have been dying to read this and it did not disappoint!
Super fun and unique read
The Dinner Party by Freida McFadden was such a super fun and enjoyable read. The pacing moves quickly, and the tension keeps building in a way that makes it really easy to stay engaged with the story.
What really made this one stand out is the pick-your-poison format—there are 22 different endings, which made the experience feel interactive and unique. I loved being able to choose how the story played out (I tried all the endings), and it adds something extra you don't usually get from Freida.
Overall, a really enjoyable 4-star read that felt fresh, different, and just plain fun.
This one really pulled me in with its quiet, emotional depth. This is my first book to read by Gayla Worrell and I read the ARC book, but she has a way of writing characters that feel incredibly real—flawed, layered, and just trying to figure life out one step at a time. I especially found myself sympathizing with the main character after going through a breakup—it added an extra layer of connection for me, and a lot of the emotions felt very honest and relatable.
The pacing felt a little slow in spots, which is honestly the only thing that kept it from being a full 5 stars for me. But at the same time, that slower pace gave the story space to breathe and made the emotional moments hit harder.
Overall, it's a thoughtful, heartfelt read that stays with you after you finish. Definitely worth picking up if you enjoy character-driven stories with a lot of heart.
It took me a little bit to get into at first, but once I did, I was completely invested—especially in the past storyline. That part wrecked me in the best way. I found myself thinking about those characters even when I wasn't reading, and there were moments that genuinely made my chest ache.
The present-day story didn't grab me quite as quickly, but watching everything unfold and connect the way it did really paid off. By the end, I felt so attached to both timelines and how they mirrored each other.
This book made me feel a little bit of everything—love, heartbreak, frustration—and I definitely got emotional more than once. It wasn't a flawless read for me, but it was powerful and memorable, and I'm really glad I read it.
This felt like such a bittersweet goodbye to a group of characters I've grown really attached to. I loved getting to check back in on everyone and see how life is unfolding for them beyond college—there's something really comforting about that.
The format (separate novellas for each couple) made it easy to read and kept things moving, and I enjoyed seeing the different stages of relationships—real life, messy moments and all. It definitely leans into the ups and downs of adulthood, balancing careers, love, and big life changes.
That said, some of the drama felt a little repetitive at times, and I didn't connect with every storyline equally. I found myself more invested in certain couples than others, but I think that's just part of having such a big cast.
Overall, it was a fun, emotional send-off to the Off-Campus crew. Not my absolute favorite in the series, but still worth the read if you've loved these characters from the beginning.
I absolutely loved The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. This book was such a fun, feel-good read that had me smiling the entire time. The humor and banter between the characters was one of my favorite parts—it felt natural, witty, and had me laughing more than once.
The setting made it the perfect little escape, and the storyline kept things light, entertaining, and easy to get lost in. It's the kind of book you can pick up when you want something romantic, funny, and just genuinely enjoyable.
If you're in the mood for a charming rom-com that will keep you turning the pages and leave you feeling happy when you finish, this one is definitely worth the read.
The Mistake was another really enjoyable read in this series. Elle Kennedy does such a great job creating characters you get invested in, and I loved watching their story unfold. It had the perfect mix of humor, heart, and a little bit of drama that kept me turning the pages.
This whole series has been such a fun ride, and honestly it's absolutely worth the read. Each book brings something different while still keeping the same charm that makes these stories so good!!!!
I finally picked up The Deal and now I completely understand why so many people love this series. It was such a fun, easy read that pulled me in right away.
Hannah and Garrett had great chemistry, and I loved the banter between them. Their personalities balanced each other really well, and it made their interactions entertaining from start to finish. Garrett especially ended up being more likable than I expected, which made the story even more enjoyable.
What I liked most was how easy this book was to fly through. It had the perfect mix of humor, heart, and romance that kept me turning the pages. It's the kind of story you pick up thinking you'll read a few chapters and suddenly realize you're halfway through the book.
This one is a solid 4 stars for me. It was such a fun introduction to the series, and it definitely made me want to keep going and see what the rest of the books have in store.
I went into You Shouldn't Have Come Here expecting twists... and of course, Jeneva Rose delivered on that front. She always knows how to keep you slightly off-balance, and this one definitely had me questioning what was really going on more than once.
The isolated Wyoming ranch setting was one of my favorite parts. It felt atmospheric and tense in that quiet, middle-of-nowhere way where you just know something isn't right. The slow-burn build worked for me at first — the awkward romance, the subtle red flags, the feeling that both characters were holding something back. I liked not knowing who to trust.
That said... the pacing lagged a bit in the middle. There were moments where I wanted things to move faster or dig a little deeper emotionally. And while the twist was clever (because of course it was), it didn't hit me as hard as some of her other books have.
Overall, it was a solid, entertaining thriller that kept me guessing — just not my absolute favorite from her. Still totally worth the read if you like dual perspectives, unreliable vibes, and that creeping “uh-oh” feeling the whole way through.
Absolute mayhem in the best possible way. This book is wild, intense, and packed with some of the craziest characters I've read in a long time. Just when you think things can't spiral any further... they absolutely do.
The violence isn't subtle, the people are unhinged, and the twists just keep coming. I found myself equal parts shocked and completely unable to look away. It's gritty, chaotic, and unapologetically dark — and somehow it all works.
If you like your books fast-paced, unpredictable, and filled with morally questionable (okay, downright insane) characters, this one delivers. Definitely not for the faint of heart — but for me, it was a five-star, jaw-on-the-floor kind of read.
Verity by Colleen Hoover completely wrecked me in the best possible way.
This book is dark, disturbing, addictive, and absolutely impossible to put down. From the very first chapter, I felt this constant sense of unease that only intensified with every page. The tension is suffocating in the best way — I kept telling myself “just one more chapter” and suddenly it was 2 a.m.
The psychological twists were jaw-dropping, and just when I thought I had it figured out, I didn't. The manuscript chapters were chilling and brilliantly written, adding layers of complexity that made the story even more unsettling. And that ending? I'm still thinking about it.
This isn't just a romance or a thriller — it's a masterclass in suspense and emotional manipulation. Easily one of the most gripping, shocking reads I've ever experienced. Absolutely five stars.
I absolutely loved Stripped Down. This book is raw, honest, and completely unapologetic in the best way possible. Bunnie doesn't hold back — she shares her story with so much vulnerability and truth that you can't help but feel connected to her on a deeper level.
As a long-time follower, I've always admired how real she is, but seeing her lay everything out on the page just took that respect to another level. She doesn't sugarcoat the messy parts of life. She owns them. And that kind of honesty is powerful. It's refreshing to read something that feels so authentic and unfiltered in a world where so much is curated.
This book is inspiring, empowering, and at times emotional. You walk away feeling like you've just had a heart-to-heart conversation with a friend who's been through it and came out stronger. If you appreciate resilience, transparency, and someone who isn't afraid to tell it like it is, this one is a must-read.
Five stars without hesitation.
The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way. From the very first page, I was pulled into a story that felt raw, intimate, and deeply human. The way Yarros writes about love, loss, sacrifice, and healing is so beautifully layered — it doesn't just tug at your heart, it squeezes it.
The connection between the characters felt authentic and powerful, and the emotional depth of this story is unforgettable. I found myself completely invested... and yes, I was full-on crying while reading more than once. The kind of tears where you have to put the book down for a minute just to breathe.
This story isn't just a romance — it's about resilience, family, grief, and the kind of love that changes you. It hurt, it healed, and it stayed with me long after I turned the final page.
If you're looking for a book that will make you feel everything, this is it.
Letting Go by Molly McAdams absolutely wrecked me... but in that way where you're grateful for the emotional damage.
This story dives deep into love, loss, and the kind of heartbreak that doesn't just sting—it lingers. McAdams doesn't shy away from messy emotions, and I appreciated how raw and vulnerable the characters felt. Their pain wasn't glossed over or rushed; you sit in it with them, which makes the healing (and the hope) feel earned.
The romance is intense and emotionally charged, and there were moments that genuinely made my chest ache. I loved how the story explored the idea that sometimes letting go isn't about giving up—it's about survival and growth. That theme really stuck with me.
The only reason it's not a full five stars for me is that a few parts felt a little drawn out emotionally, and I wanted just a bit more balance between heartbreak and resolution. But overall, it was a powerful, moving read that left a lasting impression.
If you're in the mood for an emotional rollercoaster with high stakes and even higher feelings, this one delivers. Just keep the tissues nearby.
From the first chapter, I was hooked. The tension between the characters felt sharp and calculated, and just when I thought I had it figured out, another twist came flying out of nowhere. I love a thriller that makes me suspicious of everyone — and this one absolutely delivered.
The pacing was fast without feeling rushed, and the short chapters made it impossible to put down. I kept telling myself “just one more chapter”... and suddenly it was 1 a.m. The mind games, the secrets, the morally gray choices? Chef's kiss.
Jeneva Rose has such a talent for writing relationships that feel layered and toxic and real all at once. If you love domestic thrillers packed with betrayal, manipulation, and jaw-dropping reveals, this one is a must-read.
Easily a five-star, stay-up-way-too-late kind of book for me.
Freida McFadden does it again. Dear Debbie is a fast, addictive read that pulled me in from the very first page and refused to let go. The pacing is sharp, the tension steadily builds, and just when you think you have things figured out—nope. Another twist.
What really stood out to me was the psychological depth. The characters feel unsettlingly real, and the story crawls under your skin in that quiet, creeping way McFadden does so well. It's the kind of book you keep thinking about even after you've put it down.
Short, gripping, and impossible to stop reading—this is a must for fans of psychological thrillers and classic McFadden mind games. Highly recommend.
Losing It by Cora Carmack is a fun, flirty, and surprisingly heartfelt new-adult romance that doesn't take itself too seriously—and that's part of its charm. The premise is playful and a little awkward in the best way, and the chemistry between the characters builds naturally through witty banter and genuine emotional moments.
Bliss is an endearing, relatable heroine, especially in her moments of self-doubt and growth, and Garrick brings a steady, swoony presence that balances her perfectly. What really stood out was how the story explored vulnerability, expectations, and the pressure of “firsts” without becoming heavy or preachy.
While some plot points are predictable and a few moments felt slightly rushed, the overall story is engaging, sweet, and easy to sink into. If you're in the mood for a light romance with humor, heart, and just enough steam, Losing It is a solid, enjoyable read.
The Perfect Son by Freida McFadden is a fast-paced, twisty thriller that kept me hooked from the start. McFadden does what she does best—short chapters, constant tension, and that creeping feeling that something is very wrong. The emotional pull of a mother trying to protect her child adds real depth and makes the stakes feel personal, not just shocking.
While a few twists were a bit predictable if you're familiar with McFadden's style, the story still delivers plenty of surprises and moral gray areas that make you question what you'd do in the same situation. The pacing is excellent, and I flew through the book in just a few sittings.
Overall, this was a gripping, entertaining read that fans of domestic thrillers will absolutely enjoy—even if it doesn't quite top her very best work. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for suspense you can't put down.
