's alright.
At times all the descriptions of mountains and nature gets tedious, but overall it was a nice little time waster.
I thought the ending was way too abrupt and weirdly anti-climactic.
I also didn't get any layered or interesting themes in this, it's just “friendship and nature is pretty sweet, huh?”.
This book has aged incredibly well. In hindsight it also has a positive note to it, since nowadays YouTube has a lot of content that sparks that thirst for scientific discovery in a new generation.
Here comes a little bit of a personal note:
I have some people in my life that I respect to the ends of the earth, who are very insightful, but who do participate in some forms of pseudo-science. This book among other things has helped me finally find the courage to finally “confront” them about these things.
It takes all the loose ends in the show, and makes a beatiful knot out of it and also colours a lot of the old plot strings to make the world behind it, that much more coherent.
Angenehm und sachbezogen zu lesen - auch für Laien.
Es wird über viele Texte gesagt, aber viele der Aussagen können heutzutage immer noch sinnvoll angewendet werden.
Expected more from all the recommendations.
If you're into history, this is great
if you aren't, than it'll be above average
