I finally understand why Teddy and Gus are such a beloved couple.

The banter was sharp, the chemistry felt effortless, and Gus was the standout character for me. His quiet, dependable way of showing love made the romance feel genuinely earned, while Teddy’s emotional growth added depth beyond the relationship.

I immersive-read this one, and Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor both delivered excellent performances. While I generally prefer duet narration, they made traditional dual narration work extremely well.

I’m also a sucker for a satisfying epilogue, and this one delivered exactly the emotional payoff I was hoping for.

A fun, feel-good summer rom-com that had me laughing more than I expected. While the pacing slowed a bit in the middle, I found myself remembering the humor, the Cape Cod setting, and the characters long after I finished—not the slower moments.

Rupert and Aunt Kitty completely stole the show, and Rupert’s banter with Theo had me laughing out loud. Renley was easy to root for as she worked to make Rudder’s Sweets a success, and Theo’s determination to win her over made their romance both sweet and believable.

The audiobook is absolutely worth it. Stella Hunter, Shane East, Cassandra Medcalf, and Gary Furlong delivered fantastic performances, and their comedic timing elevated the entire reading experience.

Not my favorite Meghan Quinn novel, but definitely one of her funniest. If you’re looking for a lighthearted summer romance with memorable side characters and a charming small-town setting, I’d happily recommend this one.

P.S. Meghan…if Rupert ever gets his own book, I’ll be preordering immediately.

3.5 stars — slow start but an emotionally satisfying ending. This took a little while to hook me, but Dante’s growth and the emotional moments in the final chapters made the journey worth it. Full review below.

The story starts with a forced engagement between two strong-willed people dealing with family expectations, reputation, and pride. The first half felt slower to me because a lot of time is spent building the tension and power dynamics between them. Once the emotional stakes deepen, though, the story starts moving and becomes much more engaging.

Dante’s character growth was the highlight. Watching him go from controlled and prideful to vulnerable and patient really worked for me. The moment when he finally humbled himself emotionally felt like the turning point of his redemption arc.

Vivian already knows who she is, so her journey felt more about holding her boundaries and deciding whether Dante had truly earned her trust. I appreciated that she didn’t rush forgiveness.

The spice level felt moderately spicy with open-door scenes. It’s definitely there, but the emotional tension and character growth were what made the story land.

I also listened to the audiobook while reading, and the duet narration worked really well. The narrators brought the characters and emotional moments to life.

The ending and epilogue felt satisfying, and I’m curious to continue the series. Each book follows a different couple, so they work well as interconnected standalones.
