This is like watching the 3AM Sci-fi channel. So many ridiculous plot holes it was hysterical. First bit set up decent then they spent 80% of the book wandering around randomly. They return to where they startedand there is a magic pool that tells them exactly where to go and even what the Bad Guy has planned. So many odd things, my favorites are the lighthouse BUILT with air tight room with no handles. Because of course. Menageries that have apparently existed decades without mating pairs.

Sabuda pop up books are always marvels and this is a sweet story.

Very satisfying conclusion to the story and wrapped up all the storylines.

I read books decades ago so vaguely familiar with drow, halflings, and world. This is a very simple story meant for current readers.

Makes me want to go visit New York again! Fun and really unique story and unique characters. Really liked the True to New York solution to problem solving. Some set ups that I wanted to see in action (Queen's ability especially) just were forgotten.

Satisfying end to a complicated story.

Do the Ghost Walk instead! I did the Ocean Isle Ghost walk tour and it was great- not “woowoo” and all stories they personally had heard. Bought this book hoping it would have extra stories and more details, but it has pixelated! photos, blurry line drawings (not just the normal blurry ghost pictures, the actually drawings weren't printed well) and less detail than the tour stories. I really wanted to find out more from the tour (go if you are in the area). They are planning to work on the book, so maybe next edition!

I don't usually read these but everyone talking about the show. I didn't like any characters (part of why don't usually read these) but liked the twists in the plot. The end was very much like the credits in Wild Things.

A short story from a different POV. Too short- want to see it play out more.

I got this book through generous donation to Worldbuilders Fundraiser. It is a simple romp and I found characters frustrating. Murdering a guy, deciding he loved his sister(!) based on a photo. (Who cares about anything else?) And of course she falls into bed. With brother's murderer. Who only wants to get as far as he can before she finds out. Wanted to like it after winning it.

Pictures have tons to look at and story is sweet.

I see why this popped up on so many lists at the same time. Short, different and memorable.

A great and age appropriate book. Daughter wanted to go to bed early to read more. I even learned stuff!

That was a wonderful and unique series. I can't wait for more murderbot stories.

An engaging if bit simple story. The 10 year it is actually written for loved it and would go to bed early to hear more story.

Highly recommend the audio book - hearing the music described is basically required for a music based book.
