The Kingdom of Copper

I'm glad I read it but I think I'll just look up a summary for book 3.

I loved the world, the push/pull of different character motivations, and the fact that each of our POV characters has some really great points and some really bad blind spots/biases. I liked how the limited 3rd person narration affected my perception of non-POV characters a lot. However, on that note, many of the side characters felt thin. Political tension and emotional character moments fell flatter for me because the non-POV character relationships that would give them their stakes felt flat.

I think I'll definitely try her other series too. There's a lot here that I like even if I'm not willing to commit to reading the final book in the series.
