Solid continuation and development of characters, though I felt the puzzles on this floor led to a fairly incomprehensible read -- it was very hard to follow or visualise toward the end. Overall positive, I thoroughly enjoyed Katia's development and the drama with the rest of the Brynhild's Daughters.

Truly an epic novel, a very satisfying conclusion to the Sun Eater series. It did drag a bit at times, but if you have gotten through the earlier ones this should give you no trouble.

I cannot wait to see what Ruocchio writes next.

Absolutely ridiculous premise, yet I was hooked from beginning to end.. excellent pacing and humour. Highly recommend!

Wonderfully interesting Sci-Fi book, couldn't put it down. The premise is very unique, and I became very attached to the two primary characters of the book. The author does an excellent job of presenting the science in an accessible way, but without any info-dumping, which some sci-fi can be prone to.

Absolutely immaculate book, very promising start to a new Fantasy series. Good suspense that kept me hooked right to the end.

Well written, good pacing and the characters feel distinct. The main character is the classic genius rogue hero, so nothing particularly unique about him, but I appreciate that he was given some flaws and wasn't completely perfect.

This novel is very heavy on the world-building, I assume as a set up for the rest of the Hierachy series. If you don't like that, this could grate on you slightly.
