I'm torn.
I wanted to love.

What a heavy read. It was a constant question of “What would I do?” during this read.

The only good thing that has come from his words. A funny picture book.

I don't know why but I just couldn't connect. I wanted to love it but I just didn't.

Raw. Real. Heartbreaking. Perfectly Baldwin.

I have never loved or been affected by a graphic novel as I have by this one. Such an honest story about family, love between generations, war, refugees and the heartache they endure and overcome.

One of my #favoriteread2018

Just as worth a book for administration to read as it is for librarians.

A great way to look at things differently and a great read to start off the year reminding your students to set their imaginations free!

Every teacher should start the year by reading this book to their class.

Loved the illustrations. This could be a great mentor text for pre-writing to kick-start our imaginations!

An interesting story never heard of before! And the illustrations are gorgeous!

My #1 favorite read for 2018!

My #1 favorite for 2018, so far! Every teen should read this one!

No words yet powerful enough.

The writing was simple but the message was inspiring, uplifting, and important.

Super creative and cute! Art teachers can use this inspire some creative images that can have a double meaning!

Yet again, another Lauren Oliver winner! This is a great series.

And my favorite line in the book describes my feelings after reading it, “it's an energy that is a revolutionary soul force made by girls for girls.” ✊🏻👊🏻MOXIE GIRLS FIGHT BACK! ✊🏻👊🏻
