Just finished this book. It was very interesting to see how the ideas of geopolitics work and as such was much more educative and interesting than any textbook could possibly be.
As this book was written 6 years ago it is already possible to see what came of his first predictions. Altough the particulars are off, he has correctly identified all the regions of tension where there is potential for unrest and political conflict and in that sense provides a lot of insight.
The second part, from the description of the third world war on was less to my liking. Altough the conflicts rising up to this crisis seemed plausible the conviction with which he made the united states emerge as victors seemed a bit far fetched to me but then again it is only possible to sketch one scenario in a book like this not to mention the fact that he even attempts it.
