Blood Over Bright Haven

This book started strong and ended weak and shallow. That was a little surprising to me considering the first half. I felt like I was taking a Sociology 101 course specifically designed for well-off white kids who have never actually encountered systemic oppression in real life.

Magical system was interesting, plight of the Kwen was very interesting and I loved their introductory scene. Ultimately though, the bright spots were hard to find among the paragraphs of trite conversation.
