This book had a lot to say and it is a needed voice in today's world.

Sadly, it seemed like the writing lacked any sort of artistry or soul, which to me separates a fictional work of art from an impersonal text. The characters felt like hollow puppets, used only to drive the story forward.

The second to last arc was unfortunately paced terribly which made it difficult to get through. Would've been 5 stars otherwise.

Perfectly captures the confusion, rage and sadness directed at the world that I have felt all my life. Sayaka Murata, I want to be friends with you so badly.
