A good mafia romance with some interesting twists and turns.

I couldn't get into it.

The third book in this series was quite a disappointment for me. On one hand, I enjoyed it, especially the plot. On the other hand, I had so many problems with the pacing and the romance.

I'm not sure yet if I'll continue reading the series, since I'm only really interested in the plot. Hmm, we'll see.

A really good romantasy in an academic setting.

This story is action-packed, with elemental magic/creatures, trials and a touch of spice.

It has some really good moments and the plot as a whole is good, but it's too rushed

From the very first chapter, I was completely captivated by the world, the characters, and the plot. It leans more heavily into fantasy than romantasy, although there is a romance woven throughout.

Regarding the magic system, I would have liked a bit more clarity on how it works, etc.

All in all, it’s a fantastic start to a new series. I‘m definitely picking up the next book, and I’m especially hoping to see more of Rorrik in the next one.
