This book really hooked me in with the game development theme, and there were some truly beautiful moments. However, the characters and their decisions frustrated me a lot, and I never felt particularly attached to Sam or Sadie. I hit a slump midway through, and the Big Moment felt slightly boring and forced. The Pioneers section was a welcome change of pace. Writing style was pleasant to read, albeit a bit pretentious at times and a bit pandering. Worth a read and quite memorable, although I'm not sure how much interest a non-gamer would glean we from it. Picked this up as it hits all the Top Book lists but I'm not entirely sure it deserves that praise.
