- recommended to me by jaelynn
- first book i read by marie lu
- perfectly fast paced which I LOVED surprisingly. it got the good parts in without stalling for 10 chapters yet it wasn’t too fast at the same time
- plot was pretty good also! like discovering the conspiracy about the plague, day’s score on the test, mateo’s true murderer, etc.
- had me reading through to 1 am lol
- june and day are both adorable
- apparently it is set in the same universe as warcross though warcross is present day and legend is set in the future
upon first read it was meh but after analysing it in english class i grew a more fond appreciation for the book's themes. i also liked that pi's story is up to the reader's interpretation
too much science for me unfortunately, it became a lil hard to get through at times and i just wanted to get to the end after 200 pages in
bought this with a rangi book voucher cus the cover was pretty. i think this would make a good movie. slow at times but the ultimate reveal justified it. loved the snowy atmosphere, great for the wintertime
was so good and gave me a lot of perspective on the racism faced by black communities, from the pov of someone my age
i loved this book. i thought the ‘dialogue only' style would be corny but was actually super fun to read. the themes of loyalty, the era of music it was in, the perfect pacing, and camilla made this book a 5 star read.
