The dates got a bit confusing as a listener but it was a cute trip to a small english village.

Tbh the PDA bothered me more than anything else, but I think that says more about me than the book lol.

Research those content warnings though bc it definitely earned them.

The concepts and topics in this book are so important. And I think this is a really important read for all feminists.

But I really struggled with the format. In hindsight, I think it reads more like a speech so I should have gone with the audio book.

The premise was much cooler than the actual story. I've had this opinion on several books recently though so maybe it's just me.

5 stars for anything that distracts me from the global panorama

A slice of life story to hold us over until the next book and honestly I am here for it. Give me all the mostly happy endings.

Anything that can distract my anxiety is a 5 star in my book

Loved the concept, but the 2nd hand anxiety of Addie's life was too much for me.

The book was great and his story is remarkable. And I realize the takeaway isn't America sucks, but it's hard not to when we we always fuck things up so badly.

Solid novel, but wasnt as intense of a thriller as I'd like. Clever use of a not common nickname to hide the connection between the two ladies. I haven't ever heard any Danielle s go by Ellie so well done in that front; I think if she picked Dani instead it would have been very obvious. Also a great use of time and perspective to tell the two stories.

I tend to not read non-fiction books but he wove the narratives so well together it was hard to put down.

Solid thriller

Solid mystery/thriller. Pretty much finished it in one sitting because I wanted to see where it would go next. 10/10 for strong female characters
