Why this book?
hey. hey you. i need you to read this at least once in you life. same goes for the 1988 film. watch it twice if you didn't get it the first time. or just read volumes 1 to 6 afterwards AND THEN watch it again :3
IMPORTANT: if you're going to read the english translation AVOID dark horse comics. they are full of translation errors and the art is flipped. you're way better off reading the 35th anniversary hardcover set (or at the very least the kodansha comics 2009 print run if you can't shell out a hundred bucks for the box)
